Copyright Act

This is a parliamentary Act that makes provision for copyright in literary, musical and artistic works, audio-visual works, sound recordings, broadcasts and for connected purposes. It provides for the establishment of the Kenya copyright board in Nairobi. The functions of the board shall license and supervise the activities of collective management societies as provided for under this act and devise promotion, introduction and training programs on copyright and related rights, to which end it may co-ordinate its work with national or international organizations concerned with the same subject matter
