This policy was developed to limit the spread and impact of the HIV/AIDs epidemic in the country so that it is no longer a concern of public health and socioeconomic life. The policy has two main strategies: (a) the prevention of HIV/AIDs transmission; and (b) laws and ethics to ensure the protection of rights of Nigerians, especially those living with HIV/AIDs.
