The law provides for the modalities bordering the management of biodiversity in Rwanda. It details biodiversity planning and monitoring, ecosystems, endangered and invasive species, bioprospecting, access, and benefit-sharing, permits, administrative sanctions, and other transitional provisions. It clearly states that the ministry in charge of biodiversity shall monitor the conservation status of Rwanda’s biodiversity components, and make provisions for research.
