The law determines the organization and management of aquaculture and fishing in Rwanda. It establishes the functioning of aquaculture and fisheries in; public and concession waters, waters stemming from natural ponds, canals and dams in private lands, and artificial ponds that are legally established with the necessary equipment. The law specifies sports, professional, and scientific types of fishing in Rwanda. The Rwanda animal resource development authority shall grant the right to fish in public waters.
