The government of Rwanda has among its goals, to achieve education for all and to improve health status for the population. The National School Health Strategic Plan contains strategies and frameworks necessary to achieve the above-mentioned goals. It identifies the roles schools can play in ensuring the safety and promotion of children’s health. It contains areas of specialization and issues that need to be addressed to facilitate the beneficial connection between education and the health condition of schoolchildren.
