The regulations are the minimum standard guiding the sale of soya beans in South Africa, in line with the agricultural products standards act of 1990. Classes and grades of soya beans, as well as standards for these, are outlined in the schedules. The general restrictions for the sale of soya beans, packing and marking requirements, and sampling techniques are also discussed in detail. Exemptions are granted wholly and partially, subject to specifications in the agricultural product standards act of 1990.
