The government is determined to uplift the well-being of its citizens, culturally, socially, and economically, without any form of discrimination. Indigenous knowledge is defined as knowledge that has been developed within an indigenous community and has been assimilated into the cultural and social identity of that community; knowledge of functional nature, natural resources, and cultural expressions. The Act applies to all persons within the Republic, and all knowledge specified in the Act.
