Policy Vault is offering a unique opportunity for a Marketing and Communications Fellow to join our team. This six-month fellowship is ideal for individuals with strong writing, storytelling, and strategic communication skills who are passionate about governance and public policy.
The fellowship provides an opportunity to amplify high-impact programmes, policy dialogues, and advisory engagements across Africa, with the potential to transition into a full-time role based on exceptional performance.

Job Summary
The Marketing and Communications Fellow will support Policy Vault’s strategic visibility and stakeholder engagement across Africa by translating complex policy work into compelling narratives, promoting programmes and events, and ensuring consistent, professional branding across communication platforms. The role also involves developing creative marketing strategies, managing social media platforms, producing high-quality communication materials, and engaging stakeholders to effectively promote Policy Vault’s mission, programmes, and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement communications strategies to enhance the visibility and impact of Policy Vault’s programmes, research outputs, and policy initiatives.
- Create compelling narratives around projects, summits, advisory engagements, and key milestones, translating institutional impact into engaging content for diverse audiences.
- Manage social media platforms and promote programmes and events through coordinated digital campaigns, newsletters, stakeholder briefings, and post-event communications.
- Prepare structured meeting summaries and engagement reports following policy dialogues and high-level stakeholder engagements.
- Translate complex policy research and advisory insights into clear, accessible communication materials while ensuring consistent branding, tone, and visual presentation across platforms.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in mass communications, Journalism, Public Policy, International Relations, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience; internships or volunteer work in communications, media, or policy-related organizations are highly valued.
- Demonstrated interest in policy, governance, research, or development communications.
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Basic familiarity with social media platforms and digital content tools.
- Collaborative and adaptable mindset, with excellent organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Fellowship Details
- Duration: Six months
- Work Location: Hybrid, Abuja
