Policy Vault is seeking an experienced Government Relations Manager / Public Policy Consultant to support and expand our engagements in Tanzania. Job Summary

The Public Policy and Government Engagements professional will lead strategic engagement with government institutions, regulators, and key stakeholders in Tanzania. The role involves analyzing policy and regulatory developments, providing evidence-based insights, and supporting effective policy dialogue and collaboration. The ideal candidate will leverage strong networks and a deep understanding of the Tanzanian policy landscape to build strategic partnerships, influence policy outcomes, and strengthen Policy Vault’s institutional presence in-country.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engagement with government agencies, regulators, and public institutions in Tanzania to drive policy dialogue, partnerships, and institutional collaboration.
• Monitor and analyze regulatory, legislative, and policy developments, providing timely insights and strategic recommendations.
• Identify and unlock opportunities to strengthen Policy Vault’s presence and partnerships within Tanzania.
• Prepare high-quality briefs, reports, and stakeholder updates that translate complex policy and regulatory developments into clear, actionable insights.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across government, private sector, and development institutions.

Eligibility

• Minimum of 5–8 years of relevant experience in government relations, public policy, regulatory affairs, or stakeholder engagement in Tanzania.
• Strong understanding of Tanzania’s political, regulatory, and governance landscape, with demonstrated experience engaging government agencies, ministries, and regulators.
• Established network within key public and private sector stakeholders is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to analyze policy developments and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations.

• Duration: Six months
• Work Location: Tanzania (with in-country engagement required)
