This six-month fellowship is ideal for individuals with a strong background in health policy and excellent writing and stakeholder engagement skills. The fellowship provides an opportunity to work on innovative projects at the intersection of health and emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, with the potential to convert into a full-time role based on exceptional performance.

Job Summary
The Health Policy Fellow will be responsible for conducting research and analysis on health policy issues relevant to Nigeria and other African countries. This role involves collaborating with our team to develop evidence-based policy recommendations and contribute to projects that integrate health policy with emerging technologies.

Conduct in-depth research on health policies and regulations across Africa.

Analyze complex health policy documents and provide concise summaries and actionable insights.

Develop evidence-based recommendations for stakeholders, including policymakers and healthcare organizations.

Collaborate on projects that explore the intersection of health policy with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence.

Contribute to the expansion of Policy Vault’s health policy repository by identifying, acquiring and analyzing relevant documents.

Prepare high-quality reports, briefs, and presentations for internal and external audiences.

Build strong relationships with stakeholders in government, academia, civil society, and the private sector.

Monitor trends in health policy development across Africa and provide timely updates on key issues.
Qualifications and Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in a health-related field, public policy, or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex health policy documents.

Excellent written communication skills with a proven ability to produce clear, concise, and impactful content.

Strong stakeholder engagement skills with experience working collaboratively across diverse groups.

Familiarity with African health policy landscapes, particularly Nigeria’s regulatory environment.

Experience or interest in health policy analysis, public health, or a related field.

Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively.
Eligibility
This fellowship is ideal for:

Graduates with no more than three years of experience.

Current students pursuing advanced degree programs (e.g., master’s or doctoral studies).

Researchers on sabbatical looking to apply their expertise in health policy.
Fellowship Details

Duration: Six months

Compensation: A monthly stipend of NGN 350,000
