This document contains Local Loan (Federal Republic of Nigeria Fifth Development Loan 1993) (Amendment) Directions 1968; Finance (Control and Management) Act; and Payment of Postage (Exemption) Notice 1968. The Notice exempts for a period of twenty-four months members of the Armed Forces from payment of postage in respect of any postal article which is franked with the words “On Active Service”.

This Decree establishes the Federal Savings Bank to provide a ready means for the deposit of savings to encourage thrift in Nigeria. It repeals the Savings Bank Act (Cap. 188).

The main purpose of this Decree is to make the Borrowing by Public Bodies Act 1965 apply to any company in or of which the national military government holds shares or debentures, even if the holding in question does not amount to a controlling interest.
