The government of Ethiopia acknowledges the role MSMEs could play in contributing to the long term vision of attaining middle-income status by 2025. The government deems it necessary to create avenues to cater for fuel price stabilization in line with the ripple effect it has on the economic and social endeavours in the country. The Fuel Price Stabilization Fund is thus established to be deposited in a special account to be opened by the Ministry of Finance.

The proclamation to provide for the establishment of the federal negarit Gazeta as a federal law gazette published under the Umbrella of the House of Peoples’ Representatives. The gazette shall publish all laws of the federal government in both Amharic and English languages. The proclamation repeals the establishment of the negarit Gazeta proclamation of 1942.
