An Act to provide for matters supplemental to the provisions of the Guarantee (High Commission Railways and Harbours Loans) (No. 2) Act.

This is a parliamentary Act that makes provision for the recognition, protection and management of refugees and for connected purposes.

This plan recognizes the lead role of the Kenya government in coordinating disaster preparedness and response. The plan seeks to build upon, streamline and strengthen the already existing coordination structures in Kenya. The plan recognizes the use of internationally recognized tools and procedures in disaster response. The plan builds upon the humanitarian code of conduct and charter and the sphere standards. The plan aims to strengthen disaster preparedness for effective response at all levels and thus contributing to the implementation of the Hyogo Framework for action that seeks to build the resilience of nations and communities to disasters.

The plan sets out Kenya’s national circumstances, focusing on current and future climate trends, and describes the country’s vulnerability to climate change. It also elaborates institutional arrangements, including monitoring and evaluation processes. Priority actions are identified in 20 planning sectors for the short, medium and long term. This builds on the premise that all the socioeconomic sectors are vulnerable to climate change impacts, although the manifestation of these impacts may vary from one sector to the other.

In response to the challenges and opportunities posed by climate change, Kenya has developed this national climate change response strategy. the vision of the Strategy is for a prosperous and climate change resilient Kenya. The mission is to strengthen and focus nationwide actions towards climate change adaptation and GHG emission mitigation. This will be achieved by ensuring commitment and engagement of all stakeholders while taking into account the vulnerable nature of Kenya’s natural resources and society. The objectives are to: enhance understanding of the global climate change regime: the negotiation process, international agreements, policies and processes and most importantly the positions Kenya needs to take in order to maximize beneficial effects of climate change; assess the evidence and impacts of climate change in Kenya, and recommend robust adaptation and mitigation measures needed to minimize risks associated with climate change while maximizing opportunities.

This policy has an overarching goal is to ensure that all Kenyans live in dignity and exploit their human capabilities for their own social and economic development. To attain this, the following broad policy objectives will be pursued: protecting individuals and households from the impact of adverse shocks to their consumption that is capable of pushing them into poverty or into deeper poverty , supporting individuals and households to manage these shocks in ways that do not trap them in poverty by reducing their exclusion and strengthening their ability to graduate from social assistance and to become financially self-sufficient etc.

The vision of this framework is a vibrant and well-coordinated genetic resources conservation agenda, servicing food security, climate change resilience and economic prosperity initiatives. It hopes to harness, conserve and promote greater and sustainable use of genetic resources for increased food security, resilience of agricultural production systems, improved health and socio-economic advancement within the context of climate change.

This is a parliamentary Act to review and update the law relating to value added tax; to provide for the imposition of value added tax on supplies made in, or imported into Kenya, and for connected purposes.

This is a parliamentary Act that establishes a framework for consultation and co-operation between the national and county governments and amongst county governments; to establish mechanisms for the resolution of intergovernmental disputes pursuant to articles 6 and 189 of the constitution, and for connected purposes.

The purpose of this national policy on climate finance is to improve Kenya’s ability to mobilize and effectively manage and track adequate and predictable climate change finance. This policy sets out a guiding framework to enhance national financial. The policy document is organized into six chapters, with the first chapter providing the policy overview, context and goal. The second chapter provides a situational analysis of climate finance, and chapter three identifies the scope for climate finance in Kenya. Chapter four sets out the strategic interventions that work toward the achievement of the policy’s goals and objectives. The fifth chapter provides an overview of the governance structures to implement the policy, and chapter six deals with financial requirements. The appendix provides a list of definitions.

This is an Act to facilitate the establishment, operation and regulation of central depositories, to provide for the immobilisation and eventual dematerialisation of, and dealings in, securities deposited therewith in Kenya, and for connected purposes.

This is a parliamentary Act that provides for mandatory re-insurance cessions to the African re-insurance corporation and for matters related or incidental thereto.

This parliamentary Act provides for the establishment of an authority to plan and co-ordinate the implementation of development projects in whole of the coast province and the exclusive economic zone and for connected purposes. The functions of the authority shall be to plan for the development of the area and initiate project activities identified from such planning in the development and through the government generally.

An Act of parliament to establish a capital markets authority for the purpose of promoting, regulating and facilitating the development of an orderly, fair and efficient capital market in Kenya and for connected purposes

This parliamentary Act to make further provision as to the functions and powers of the commission on revenue allocation, the procedure for appointments to the commission and for connected purposes. It also concerns financial and miscellaneous provisions of the commission.

This parliamentary Act repeals and replaces the constituencies development fund act, 2007. It ensures that a specific portion of the national annual budget is devoted to the constituencies for purposes of infrastructural development, wealth creation and in the fight against poverty at the constituency level.

This is a parliamentary Act to give effect to the provisions of articles 225, 228 and 252 of the constitution regarding the functions of the office of the controller of budget and for connected purposes.
