This document provides the implementation plan of the National Intellectual Property (IP) Policy. The IP covers the period of 2010 – 2014 and is closely aligned to the Government initiatives outlined in the Sixth National Development Plan and Vision 2030 as well as other related policies and laws. It provides concrete areas of work for the active support and participation of all key stakeholders in intellectual property system based on formidable partnerships and provision of an enabling environment to ensure that IP contributes effectively towards economic growth and development.

This policy focuses on eight (8) manufacturing sub-sectors as priority drivers of industrialisation. They include processed foods; textiles and garments; engineering products; wood and wood products; leather and leather products; mineral (metallic and non-metallic) processing and products (beneficiation); pharmaceuticals; and blue economy.

The primary aim of this strategy is to promote inclusive growth and sustainable development through value addition by increased utilization of locally available goods and services in growth sectors.

The Vision 2030 outlines the desirable long-term paths of the socio-economic indicators to satisfy the people’s aspirations and articulates possible long-term alternative development policy scenarios at different points through the target year 2030.

This plan provides the roadmap for a functional, effective and efficient Government-wide Monitoring and Evaluation Management Information System (GW-M&E/MIS) that provides real-time feedback on the implementation status of all development interventions across the country.

An Act to provide for the privatisation and commercialisation of state-owned enterprises, to provide for the establishment of the Zambia Privatisation Agency and to define the functions of the Agency.

This Act establishes a superannuation fund for employees of local authorities and other public bodies. it provides for funds in a management committee, the powers, and duties of committee and provides for the payment of contributions to and pensions and gratuities from such funds.

This is an Act to authorise supplementary expenditure from the Consolidated Fund of monies required for the services of the Republic during the financial year ending 31st December 2018, not exceeding in the aggregate seven billion, two hundred and thirty-three million, five hundred and thirteen thousand, eight hundred and sixty-six Kwacha.

An Act to establish the National Road Fund Agency and to define its functions; to establish the National Road Fund and to provide for related matters.

An Act to amend the Zambia Development Agency Act.

An Act to continue the existence of the Zambia National Tender Board and re-name it the Public Procurement Authority; revise the law relating to procurement so as to ensure transparency and accountability in public procurement; regulate and control practices relating to public procurement in order to promote the integrity of fairness and public confidence in the procurement process; repeal and replace the Zambia National Tender Board Act, 1982 and provide for related matters.

An Act to foster economic growth and development by promoting trade and investment in Zambia.

An Act to provide for the disclosure of conduct adverse to the public interest in the public and private sectors; provide for a framework within which public interest disclosures shall be independently and rigorously dealt with; provide for procedures in terms of which employees in both the private and the public sectors may disclose information regarding unlawful or irregular conduct by their employers or other employees in the employ of their employers.

This is an Act to provide for the management, disbursement, utilisation and accountability of the Constituency Development Fund established under the Constitution; establish Constituency Development Fund Committees in constituencies and provide for their composition and functions, and provide for matters connected.

An Act to amend the Citizens Economic Empowerment Act, 2006.

This is an Act to appropriate an additional amount of money for the requirements of the Department of Public Enterprises to assist Eskom Holdings SOC Limited with its financial obligations and to provide for related matters connected.

This is an Act to amend the Estate Duty Act, 1955, the Customs and Excise Act, 1964 and Business Tax Amnesty and Amendment of Taxation Laws Act, 2006, so as to provide that the rules relating to objection and appeal apply to the amnesty for small business, to exempt an auditor from certain provisions of the Auditing Profession Act, 2005 and to effect certain textual and consequential amendment.
