The policy represents the government’s commitment to protecting children and fighting child labour. This is in line with the endorsement by the government of Rwanda of the International Labour Convention of 1973 concerning the Minimum Age for Admission to Employment; and the International Labour Convention of 1999 concerning Worst Forms of Child Labour. The government thus intends to eliminate all forms of child labour, and create enabling environment to address child labour’s underlying issues.

The ministerial order determines the mission, functions, organizational structure, and job positions of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Refugee Affairs (MIDMAR). A law to protect against domestic violence and for connected purposes

An Act to amend the National Human Rights Commission Act, Cap. N46 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004, to provide for among other things, the independence in the conduct of the affairs of the Commission.

This is an Act to establish the National Agency for the prohibition of traffic in persons and other related matters and to vest it with the responsibility to enforce laws against traffic in persons, investigate and prosecute persons suspected to be engaged in traffic in persons and to take charge and coordinate the rehabilitation and counselling of trafficked persons; and for related matters.

The objective of the Guidelines is to protect consumers against the provision of inadequate, misleading or failure to disclose material and relevant information and generally guard against lack of transparency by Financial Institutions in their dealings with consumers.

This report documents the outcome of a mapping exercise aimed at identifying the laws, policies, services and other mechanisms available in the country for GBV and HIV intersections. It was also designed to assess the gaps in response and the opportunities available for engaging men in addressing the problem of GBV and its intersection with HIV as well as issues of women living with disabilities

The National Action Plan for the Promotion and Protection of Human rights (NAP) is the response of the government of Nigeria to the recommendation of the Vienna Declaration and Programme of Action, adopted at the World Conference on Human Rights in Vienna Austria in 1993. It is an integrated and systematic national strategy to help realize the advancement of human rights in Nigeria.

The gender policy addresses the systematic inequalities between women and men in our society without ignoring the fundamental differences between them. More importantly, the gender policy prioritizes the empowerment of women as an entry point to achieving gender equality and seeks a balance of power relations between men and women for the optimum benefit of both parties.

The overall goal of this action plan is to ensure that national climate change processes in Nigeria’s mainstream gender considerations guarantee inclusivity of all demographics in the formulation and implementation of climate change initiatives, programs and policies.
