The strategies contained in this document echo the goals and objectives chiefly contained in Rwanda’s national industrial policy and national export strategy. These goals and objectives summarily strive to reduce Rwanda’s trade deficit. “The DMRS rests on three pillars of activities; horizontal activities, aimed at supporting local production for the domestic market across all sectors, policy measures, aimed at removing obstacles to production, and the foreseeing development of specific investment projects, where supply-side constraints or market opportunities are identified”.
