This is an Act to provide for the conservation and management of Nigeria’s wildlife and the protection of some of her endangered species in danger of extinction as a result of over‐exploitation, as required under certain international treaties to which Nigeria is a signatory. It provides the Prohibition of hunting of or trading in wild animals in the first schedule and regulation of export and import of species specified in the second schedule.
