These guidelines was developed to prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV. The guidelines covers routine HIV testing and counselling, routine care during pregnancy, labour, delivery and post-natal period for HIV-positive women, pharmaceutical interventions for HIV positive pregnant women and exposed infants, and management of the HIV exposed infant.
