The overarching goal of this policy is to improved infant and young child nutrition for survival, growth and development. The policy and guidelines include: Prevention and control of
micronutrient deficiencies; Infant and young child feeding
and HIV/AIDS; Management of moderately and severely malnourished children and mothers; and Feeding practices for children in the first 2 years of life and beyond.
