“The law governs land use planning and development in Rwanda. The main objectives of land use planning and development in Rwanda are: to transparently identify, coordinate, supervise and implement land use planning land to all instances of administrative entities in Rwanda to achieve sustainable and equitable development in the social, economic and environmental fields for the benefit of present and future generations of Rwanda; establish fundamental principles to ensure that land use and development planning provides for the natural resource base to be protected and ensures an ecological balance between the ecological footprint of land use and land use and biodiversity”.
