Merchant Shipping (Crew Accommodation) Regulations 2010

These regulations apply to all Nigeria sea-going ships except fishing boats and pleasure yachts. Regulation 3 provides that every person to order a ship to which these regulations apply constructed shall create, during construction, a plan of the ship on a scale not smaller than 1 in 100, to be submitted to a surveyor of ships on a day not later than the day on which the keel of the ship is laid, showing clearly the proposed arrangement of the crew accommodation in the ship and its proposed position concerning other spaces therein.
