This policy presents a new vision for the sector, to drive the response on HIV, Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) as well as tuberculosis. It presents the sector’s contribution towards the National Strategic Plan on HIV, STIs and TB for South Africa, 2017-2022 (the NSP). The policy document replaces the 1999 Department of Education National Policy on HIV/AIDS for learners and educators in public schools and students and educators in further education and training institutions.
