The objectives of these regulations are to keep exotic animal / zoonotic diseases out of Tanzania; to safeguard the livestock industry and animal welfare; to facilitate the trade of live animals and products of animal origin; to improve veterinary public health status; and to enhance food safety of products of animal origin.
