The control measures aim to prevent the spreading of classical swine fever (European Swine Fever or Hog Cholera) from the entire Eastern Cape Province. It prohibits the export of pigs, wild pigs, bushpigs and warthogs, as well as any of their products and genetic materials from the Eastern Cape Province, except on authority of a permit.
