This Proclamation shall apply to geothermal resources development activities within the territory of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Its objectives include; promoting the use of grade II geothermal resources, encouraging a sustainable carbon-neutral Ethiopian economy, and ensuring the security of tenure of investors.
