This is an Act of Parliament to make provision for the registration and licensing of Kenyan ships. The Act states the laws: to regulate proprietary interests in ships; the training and the terms of engagement of masters and seafarers and matters ancillary thereto; for the prevention of collisions, the safety of navigation, the safety of cargoes, carriage of bulk and dangerous cargoes, the prevention of pollution, maritime security, the liability of ship-owners and others, inquiries and investigations into marine casualties; and other related provisions.
