Rwanda’s CBT occurs both in formal and informal ways with Tanzania, Burundi, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). These trades occur across sectors including agriculture and manufacturing, among others. This strategy seeks to deepen Rwanda’s CBTs along both the formal and informal lines. It further outlines steps to improve upon the existing balance of trade, employment and general living standard of Rwandans.
