The purpose of this national policy on climate finance is to improve Kenya’s ability to mobilize and effectively manage and track adequate and predictable climate change finance. This policy sets out a guiding framework to enhance national financial. The policy document is organized into six chapters, with the first chapter providing the policy overview, context and goal. The second chapter provides a situational analysis of climate finance, and chapter three identifies the scope for climate finance in Kenya. Chapter four sets out the strategic interventions that work toward the achievement of the policy’s goals and objectives. The fifth chapter provides an overview of the governance structures to implement the policy, and chapter six deals with financial requirements. The appendix provides a list of definitions.
