The government of Rwanda seeks to chart the course towards unifying the country in the aftermath of the 1994 genocide in the country. The government hopes that the long term developmental plans and ambitious goals highlighted in vision 2020, will help the country in breaking its citizens out of the vicious cycle of poverty. The vision is backed by six pillars including; good governance and an efficient State, skilled human capital, vibrant private sector, world-class physical infrastructure and modern agriculture and livestock.
