The wildlife policy addresses issues relating to crucial areas of the wildlife sector in Rwanda. These issues include sustainability and the protection of Rwandan wildlife, absence of clear framework and legislation, wildlife conflict resolution, development of skills in wildlife management among other things. The need to address these issues stems from the quest to sustain Rwandan wildlife in line with their relative importance in the preservation of biodiversity and climate stabilization.
