Along with the statutory measure for records and returns, a national wool database capturing the details of stakeholders along the value chain will be created.

This policy has a broad objective to cover all the current anomalies and shortfalls hampering the development of a viable game farming sector through a multi-disciplinary framework that can be endorsed by the cabinet and all affected departments for implementation at all levels of governance. The policy aims to support the effective management of viable game farming systems and facilitate the development of norms and standards for sustainable game farming.

Agricultural remedy is defined as chemical substances, biological remedies, mixtures, or combination of any such substance or remedy used for the destruction, control, repelling or prevention of any undesired virus, bacterium, alga, nematode, fungus, insect, plant, vertebrate, or invertebrate. The remedy is also used as a plant growth regulator, defoliant, desiccant or legume inoculant. The registration procedure is discussed in detail.

These Regulations amend the Land Survey act of 1997. It inserts a new table of contents, and it mainly concerns “methods of measurement and survey, procedures for temporary and final approval of a survey by the Surveyor-General and connection of a survey to the National Co-ordinate System”.

The regulations are subject to the agricultural product standards of 1990. They specify classes and standards, parking and marking requirements guiding the sale of potatoes in South Africa.
