This Decree authorizes the permanent secretary charged with the responsibility for town planning in Lagos to direct the Lagos Executive Development Board to prepare a master plan with the general objective of securing the development of the city of Lagos under recognized principles of town planning.

This is an Act to establish the National Teachers’ Institute to be managed by a National Teachers’ Institute Council and to be responsible for the organization of programmes for the training, development, upgrading and certification of teachers and to provide for other matters related thereto.

The Decree dissolves both the existing Council of the University of Benin and the existing Management Board of the Teaching Hospitals of that university and establishes a provisional council as the overall governing body for the university and the university teaching hospital, Warri, as a follow-up to their recent take-over by the Federal Government.

The Decree re-enacts the Military Courts (Special Powers) Decree 1968 and includes in the Decree provisions relative to the procedure to be followed before trial and during the trial of any member of the armed forces charged with an offence under the Decree.

The Decree repeals Part III of the University of Benin Edict 1975 and makes new provisions for the continuing in being of that institution including the establishment of a new Management Board for the running of the affairs of the teaching hospital.

The Order proscribes the two associations commonly known and referred to as the Nigeria Medical Association and the National Association of Resident Doctors. Consequently, the Order applies the provision of the Trade Disputes (Essential Services) Act 1976, as amended, to the associations, their officers and their property. Legal proceedings are excluded.

This is an Act to establish the National Frequency Management Council and the Universal Access Fund and reform the Nigerian Communications Commission and repeal the Nigerian Communications Commission Act 1992 and for related matters. The primary objective of this Act is to create and provide a regulatory framework for the Nigerian communications industry and all related matters.
