The National Development Plan is a broad strategic framework. It sets out a coherent and holistic approach to confronting poverty and inequality based on six focused and interlinked priorities that include uniting South Africans around a common programmme, building capabilities, faster and more inclusive economic growth, citizens active in their own development, a capable and developmental state and leadership and responsibility throughout society.

The purpose of this document is to consolidate procedures drawn from different sources into a single document to approve and endorse health research by the department. The intention is to standardize approval and endorsement of health research using a single reference document.

This document is designed with a vision to improve access to health care for all and health outcomes. It has strategic priorities to develop and employ new professionals and cadres to meet policy and health needs, to increase workforce flexibility to achieve this objective, to improve ways of working and productivity of the existing workforce, to improve retention, increase productivity and revitalize aspects of education, training and research.

This is a Bill to amend the South African Institute for Drug- free Sport Act, 2007, so as to delete certain definitions and to insert, amend or substitute others, to provide for the testing of learners participating in sport, to provide for prior consent in writing by parents or legal guardians relative to testing of learners under the age of 18 years and to provide for undergoing dope testing for members of the fitness industry.

This Bill amends the National Sport and Recreation Act, 1998, so as to delete, amend and insert certain definitions, to provide for the promotion and development of sport and recreation, to establish a Sport Arbitration Tribunal to resolve disputes between sport or recreation bodies, to provide for and regulate combat sport, to provide for and regulate the fitness industry, to provide for the procedure in bidding for and hosting of international sports and recreation events.

The primary objective of this policy is to increase the opportunities to participate in Sport and Recreation activities for all South Africans inclusive of people from previously disadvantaged groups.

This is an Act to provide for the identification and declaration of infrastructure as critical infrastructure, to provide for guidelines and factors to be taken into account to ensure transparent identification and declaration of critical infrastructure; to provide for measures to be put in place for the protection, safeguarding and resilience of critical infrastructure and to provide for the establishment of the Critical Infrastructure Council and its functions.

This is an Act to provide for the regulation of property practitioners; to provide for the continuation of the Estate Agency Affairs Board as the Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority, to provide for the appointment of the members of the Board and matters incidental thereto, to provide for the appointment of the Chief Executive Officer and other staff members of the Authority, to provide for transformation of the property practitioners sector and to provide for the establishment of the transformation fund and establishment of the research centre on transformation.

This is an Act to appropriate an additional amount of money for the requirements of the Department of Public Enterprises to assist Eskom Holdings SOC Limited with its financial obligations and to provide for related matters connected.

This is an Act to amend the Immigration Act, 2002, so as to substitute certain words of the Preamble to the Act, to delete, insert or substitute certain definitions, to revise provisions relating to the Immigration Advisory Board and to revise provisions relating to the making of regulations.

This is an Act to provide for the transfer of the shares of Transnet Limited in South African Airways (Proprietary) Limited to the State, to provide for the conversion of South African Airways (Proprietary) Limited into a public company having a share capital incorporated in terms of the Companies Act, 1973 and to provide for matters connected therewith.

This is an Act to amend the Estate Duty Act, 1955, the Customs and Excise Act, 1964 and Business Tax Amnesty and Amendment of Taxation Laws Act, 2006, so as to provide that the rules relating to objection and appeal apply to the amnesty for small business, to exempt an auditor from certain provisions of the Auditing Profession Act, 2005 and to effect certain textual and consequential amendment.

This is an Act to amend the Tobacco Products Control Act, 1993, so as to define certain expressions and to amend certain definitions; to provide anew for the control over the smoking of tobacco products, to make provision for standards in respect of the manufacturing and export of tobacco products, to extend the Minister’s power to make regulations and to increase penalties.

This is an Act to give effect to the Organising Association Agreement between FIFA and SAFA and to the guarantees issued by the Government to FIFA for the hosting and staging of the 2010 FIFA WorId Cup South Africa and to provide for matters connected therewith.

This is an Act to amend the Health Professions Act, 1974, so as to amend and insert certain definitions, to provide for the requirements for removal of members from office, to provide for the absence of the president from council meetings, to provide for the functions of registrar and staff, to provide for the investigation of members whose names have been removed from the register and to provide for the publication of the register by electronic means.

This is an Act to amend the South African Institute for Drug-Free Sport Act, 1997, so as to delete certain definitions and to insert, amend or substitute other, to provide for the appointment of the staff of the Institute, to align the Act with the Public Finance Management Act, to provide for the amendment of the powers of the Institute, to provide for the adoption of matters contained in the World Anti-Doping Code and to establish a doping control programme in compliance with the World Anti-Doping Code.

This is an Act to provide for a uniform framework for the management of an immovable asset that is held or used by a national or provincial department, to ensure the coordination of the use of an immovable asset with the service delivery objectives of a national or provincial department, to provide for issuing of guidelines and minimum standards in respect of immovable asset management by a national or provincial department, and to provide for matters incidental thereto.

This policy guideline applies to both South African citizens and non-South African citizens wishing to register as medical practitioners in South Africa. Therefore, it clarifies the processes to be followed for the approval of applications by South African citizens and non-South African citizens to qualify for independent practice as medical professionals and outlines the regulatory and legislative frameworks that apply.
