This policy specifies the guidance to employers and workers and organisations to develop comprehensive and gender sensitive HIV AND AIDS policies and programmes to ensure the prevention, treatment, care & support and impact mitigation of HIV and AIDS in Lesotho.

The main objective of this policy is to prevent spread, provide treatment, care and support services, and to mitigate the impact of HIV and AIDS on individuals, households, and communities in Lesotho. The policy guidelines covers behavioural change, testing and counselling, diagnosis, disclosure, condom usage, and mother-to-child transmission.

This strategic plan was design to control the spread of HIV/AIDS in Lesotho and to mitigate its impact on all vulnerable groups, individuals, households, and communities in Lesotho. The focus areas of the policy include education, behavioural change, counselling and support for affected individuals and households.
