One of the strategic aims of this policy is to guide strategy development within key documentation generated for tourism development and management in South Africa. This is an Act to amend the National Health Laboratory Service Act, 2000, so as to define certain expressions and to amend or delete certain definitions, to make the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, 2000, applicable to the National Health Laboratory Service, to adjust the objects and duties of the National Health Laboratory service and to strengthen the governance and funding mechanism of the National Health Laboratory Service and to provide for matters connected therewith.

This is an Act to amend the Child Justice Act, 2008, so as to amend a definition, to further regulate the minimum age of criminal capacity, to regulate the provisions relating to the decision to prosecute a child who is 12 years or older but under the age of 14 years, to further regulate the proof of criminal capacity and to further regulate the assessment report by the probation officer.

The Promotion of Access to Information (PAIA) Act, 2000 (Act No. 2 of 2000) was constituted to provide fulfilment of the Constitutional rights of access to information, to foster a culture of transparency and accountability, and to encourage an open democracy where individuals from all spheres of life are empowered to engage with government and to participate in decisions which affect their lives.

This policy is developed to encourage employees and members of the public to make disclosures. It emphasizes that the Department of Small Business Development staff has a responsibility to disclose criminal and any other irregular conduct in the workplace and the employer has a responsibility to take all necessary steps to ensure that employees who disclose such information are protected from any reprisals as a result of such disclosure.

The Medium-Term Strategic Framework (MTSF) is a five-year plan of government that is intended to implement the electoral mandate and National Development Plan Vision (NDP) 2030. The MTSF 2019-2024 will be implemented through seven priorities outlined in this document.

This Act amends the Criminal Procedure Act, 1977, so as to provide for the taking of specified bodily samples from certain categories of persons for the purposes of forensic DNA analysis, to provide in particular for the protection of the rights of women and children in the taking of DNA samples; to further regulate proof of certain facts by affidavit or certificate; to add to the Criminal Procedure Act, 1977, a Schedule 8 of offences in respect of which DNA samples must be taken; to amend the South African Police Service Act, 1995, and to establish and regulate the administration and maintenance of the National Forensic DNA Database of South Africa.

Oral disease levels appear to be increasing in major sectors of the South African population, especially the underserved, disadvantaged and urbanizing communities. Therefore, this strategy aims to improve the oral health of the South African population by promoting oral health and preventing, appropriately treating, monitoring and evaluating oral diseases.
