Subject to the farm feeds, agricultural remedies, and stock remedies act of 1947, the minister prohibits the retail of products containing hyaluronic acid and its salts as farm feed.

It is stated that “no person shall export processed products from the Republic of South Africa unless quantities have been approved by the executive officer for that purpose”. The Act gives effect to the international convention for safe containers. The act binds the state and every organ of the state. It extends transport to the Prince Edward Islands. The policy is meant to be read along with the 2013 general policy on the allocation and management of fishing rights. The minister delegates powers of fishing rights allocation to officials of the department of agriculture, forestry, and fisheries. The objectives of allocating fishing rights include: to broaden meaningful participation, to promote food security, and to facilitate the recovery of over-exploited fish species. The policy sets out the criteria guiding evaluation, allocation and management of fishing rights in the west coast rock lobster; it is to serve as a guide for a delegated official.

The notice, under the Marine Living Resources Act of 1998 outlines, in the form of amendments, the fees payable for the use of fishing harbour facilities.

The regulations give effect to the section on the carriage of dangerous goods of the safety convention. The regulations apply to every South African ship carrying irradiated nuclear fuel (INF) cargo; they do not apply to ships owned or operated by the government of another state.

The notice is subject to the marketing of agricultural products act of 1996. The statutory measure compels importers, exporters, packers, and processors (not excluding people who act in their capacities) of dried fruits to register with the Dried Fruit Technical Services (DFTS). It seeks to ensure availability of market information to all stakeholders to ensure knowledge based decisions. The measure applies to apply to all dried deciduous fruit.

Food-grade salt is defined as “a crystalline product consisting of 97% sodium chloride, which is used as an ingredient or flavourant in or on a foodstuff, and which may be obtained from the sea, underground rock salt deposits or natural brine, and which can also be referred to as table salt, cooking salt, flavoured salt or dendritic salt”. It is stated herein that food-grade salt shall not contain less than 97% sodium chloride on a dry matter basis, with the exclusion of food additives. The regulations also set out the iodation requirements of food-grade salt, and the additives allowed to be contained.

The purpose of this notice is to identify activities that would require environmental authorisations prior to commencement of that activity and to identify competent authorities in terms of sections 24(2) and 24D of the national environmental management act of 1998. It repeals listing notice 1 of 2010.”
